The time now is 10:35 p.m. What time will it be in 1 hour and 42 minutes ?

(A)  12.17 pm.    (B)  12.07 pm

(C)  11.59 pm    (D)  12.17 am

Problem 4  :

Daniel’s father’s age is 48, which is four times greater than Daniel’s age. What age will Daniel be next year ?

(A)  9    (B)  10    (C)  12    (D)  13

Problem 5  :

Which value of x makes the inequality true ?

2x - 5 < 7

(a)  x  =  3  (b)  x  =  6  (c)  x  =  8  (d)  x  =  10.5

Problem 6  :

Evaluate the expression : a2/c+2b

When a  =  5, b  =  12, c  =  25

(A)  13    (B)  15    (C)  24    (D)  25

Problem 7  :

What is (2/9) ÷ (5/18) ?

(A)  5/81    (B)  4/5    (C)  10/18    (D)  5/18

Problem 8  :

A hotel needs to purchase new towels for its 27 room hotel. It can only buy towels in packs of 12, and it buys 30 packs. If the towels Are split equality between the rooms, how many towels are left spare ?

(A)  2    (B)  4    (C)  5    (D)  9

Problem 9  :

Find the value of 3.61-1.7 ?

(A)  1.09    (B)  1.91    (C)  2.9    (D)  3.44

Problem 10  :

Below all the triangles that are equilateral.

(1)  Solution :

We know that,

Shifting the figure from one place to another without changing the size and without rotation is known as translation.

So, the given is translation.

(2)  Solution  :

We know that,

Sum of interior angles of the polygon  =  (n-2) ⋅180

=  (4-2) ⋅ 180

=  360

A  =  39˚, B  =  89˚, C  =  ?, D  =  210˚

So, <A +  <B + <C + <D  =  360˚

39°+89°+C+210°  =  360°

336+C  =  360°

C  =  24˚

So, the missing angle is 24 degrees.

(3)  Solution  :

Now time is 10:35 pm

Add the hours together

10 + 1  =  11

Add the minutes together :

35 min + 4 2 min  =  77 min

1 hour  =  60 minutes

77 minutes  =  1 hour 17 minutes

Adding hours, we get

12 hours and 17 minutes.

Since the given time is pm, now after 12 we use am. So the answer is 12 : 17 am.

(4)  Solution  :

Let Daniel age be x.

Given, Daniel father age  =  48,

Four times greater than Daniel’s age,

So,

4(x)  =  48

4x  =  48

x  =  48/4

x  =  12

So, Daniel present age is 12

So, next year Daniel age is 13.

(5)  Solution  :

If x  =  3

2(3) -5 < 7

1 < 7 (True)

So, the answer is 3.

(6)  Solution  :

Given, a2/c+2b

When a  =  5, b  =  12, c  =  25

We applying the values in the expression,

=  [52/25]+2(12)

=  [25/25]+24

=  1+24

=  25

So, 25  is the answer.

(7)  Solution  :

=  2/9÷5/18

=  2/9×18/5

By simplifying, we get

=  4/5

So, 4/5 is the answer.

(8)  Solution  :

Given,

Total rooms  =  27

Number of towels in each pack  =  12

Total number of packs purchased  =  12(30)

=  360

=  360/27

=  13

=  13(27)

Number of towels distributed  =  351

Number of towels remaining  =  360-351

=  9

(9)  Solution  :

So, the value is 1.91

(10)  Solution  :

We know that,

All the three sides are equal  =  Equilateral triangle

So, Option (A) are equilateral.
