Answers

1. Answer :

{-4, -3, -2, 1, 2}

Negative numbers are located in left side of zero.

Positive numbers are located in right side of zero.

The dots indicate each point on the graph. The coordinates are {-4, -3, -2, 1, 2}.

2. Answer :

{1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3}

Positive numbers are located in right side of zero. The number 1.5 lies between 1 and 2.

The number 2.5 lies between 2 and 3.

The dots indicate each point on the graph. The coordinates are {1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3}

3. Answer :

{…-4, -2, 0, 2, 4, 6}

The bold arrow on the right means that the graph continues indefinitely in that direction. Positive numbers are located in right side of zero and negative numbers are located in right side of zero.

4. Answer :

{⁻⁴⁄₃, ⁻¹⁄₃, , ⁵⁄₃}

The number -4/3 is lies between 1 and 2 in the left side of zero.

The number -1/3 is lies between 0 and -1 in the left side of zero.

Since 2/3 and 5/3 are positive numbers, they will lie on the right side of zero.

5. Answer :

{integers less than -3 or greater than or equal to 5}

The numbers lesser than -3 are -4, -5,.......... and the numbers greater than or equal to 5 are 5, 6, 7,.........

The bold arrow on the right means that the graph continues indefinitely in that direction.

6. Answer :

{-2, 1, 2, 5}

The dots indicate each point on the graph. The coordinates are {-2, 1, 2, 5}

7. Answer :

{........⁻¹¹⁄₂, ⁻⁹⁄₂, ⁻⁷⁄₂, ⁻⁵⁄₂, ⁻³⁄₂}

Negative numbers are located in left side of zero.

The dots indicate each point on the graph. The coordinates are {-11/2, -9/2, -7/2, -5/2, -3/2}

8. Answer :

{-4, -2, 1, 5}
