Quantity of sugar needed for 1 batch of cookie =  0.4cups

Number of cookies in each batch  =  16

Quantity of sugar needed  =  0.4(4)

  =  1.6 cups of sugar

2. Answer :

Quantity of sugar in green box  =  1.26 kg

Quantity of sugar in red box  -  1.026 kg

Comparing tenth place 2 > 0.

So, green box is having more sugar.

3. Answer :

Earning of a student per hour  =  $11.75

Number of hours she is working  =  21

Total earning  =  11.75(21)

  =  246.75

4. Answer :

Quantity of fuel in the tank  =  10.45 gallons

Number of miles traveled by the car per mil  =  29.7 miles

Distance covered  =  29.7(10.45)

  =  310.365

5. Answer :

Marks scored by Aaron  =  452.65

Total marks  =  600

Marks lost by Aaron  =  600 - 452.65

  =  147.35

6. Answer :

Quantity of cold drink Amy has  =  0.87 liter

Quantity of cold drink Flora has  =  0.87 + 0.92

  =  1.76 liters

7. Answer :

Weight of baby elephant  =  218.99 kg

Increased weight  =  109.85

Weight of elephant after two years  =  218.99 + 109.85

  =  328.84 

8. Answer :

Length of the rope  =  63.45 m

Length of one piece of rope  =  23.59 m

Length of another piece  =  63.45 - 23.59

  =  39.86
