HOW TO GRAPH LINEAR EQUATIONS IN TWO VARIABLES

About "How to Graph Linear Equations in Two Variables"

How to Graph Linear Equations in Two Variables :

Here we are going to see some example problems on graphing linear equations in two variables.

How to Graph Linear Equations in Two Variables - Practice questions

Question 1 :

Draw the graph of the following

(i)  y  =  2x

Solution :

So the points are (-2, -4)(0, 0) and (2, 4). By plotting these points in the graph sheet, we get the graph.

(ii)  y  =  4x - 1

Solution :

So the points are (-1, -5) (0, -1) and (1, 3). By plotting these points in the graph sheet, we get the graph.

(iii)  y = (3x/2) + 3

Solution :

So the points are (-2, 0) (0, 3) and (2, 6).

(iv)  3x + 2y  =  14

Solution :

2y  =  14 - 3x

y  =  (14 - 3x)/2

y  =  7 - (3x/2)

So the points are (-, 10) (0, 7) and (2, 4).
