## Basic statistics Basic statistics is the part of statistics which is considered to be a branch of math concerned with collecting and interpreting data.It is the study of collection, arrangement and interpretation of data. It deals with all aspects, including planning of data collection in terms of the surveys and experiments.

Graphs, charts, averages, probability and its distributions etc., are topic dealt under stat.

When we go through the ancient period's history or medieval period , we would be able to find out statistics' mention in most of the countries

The are some limitations for stat.

Only under a specific set of conditions, the projection of production, price of a commodity and sales for future is possible. In case the rules for random sampling are not followed properly, The decision which we make based on those samples will never be correct. Suppose, the management of a company does not follow the rules of random sampling, the future projection made by the management of the company will go wrong. The company may have to face huge loss.

Some basic things in Statistics are:

1. Data Collection (In which we have two types. They are (i) Primary data collection and (ii) Secondary data collection)

2. Data Presentation.

In primary data collection , the data is collected in 4 ways. They are

(i) Interview

(ii) Method if questionnaire

(iii) Observation

(iv) Enumerators fill questionnaires

Topics under this are:
