Below the answers that are correct.

? + ?  =  0.72

(A)  0.4, 0.32    (B)  0.7, 0.2

(C)  0.21, 0.51    (D)  0.62, 1.0

Problem 9  :

Sharon collected money from her 20 classmates for chocolates for the teacher. Altogether she collected $15. On average, how much did each person give ?

(A)  $0.75    (B)  $1.25    (C)  $1.75    (D)  $5.00

Problem 10  :

Find 7×8×2.7 ?

(A)  50.4    (B)  132.3    (C)  135.3    (D)  151.2

(1)  Solution  :

To Write, 7.2/1000

First, we convert 7.2 decimal value to whole number.

Now, 7.2/1000 × 10/10

We get,

=  72/10000

So, 7.2/1000 is 0.0072

(2)  Solution  :

To Write, 17.04/12

First, we convert 17.04 decimal to whole number.

Now, 17.04/12 × (100/100)

We get,

=  1704/1200

So, 17.04/12 is 1.42

(3)  Solution  :

Given, 1/9, 1/3, 5/9, 7/9, 1,…..

By analyzing the sequence,

3/9  =  1/3  (Second term)

9/9  =  1 (5th term)

By observing the numerator, we have odd numbers 1,3, 5, 7, 9, ......

In this way, we will get 11/9.

(4)  Solution  :

List the multiples of 9 and 5

Multiples of 9  :  9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54,….

Multiples of 5  :  5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50,….

45 is common multiples of 9 and 5.

So, 45 is the least common denominator.

(5)  Solution  :

We multiply,

=  6×4×1.6

=  24×1.6

=  38.4

(6)  Solution  :

We add, 4.84 + 5.91

So, 4.84 + 5.91 is 10.75

(7)  Solution  :

List of multiples of 6 and 15

Multiples of 6 : 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60

Multiples of 15 : 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90

30 and 60 are common multiples of 6 and 15.

So, 30 is the least common multiple.

(8)  Solution  :

Given,  ? + ?  =  0.72

Apply in given question,

0.21 + 0.51  =  0.72

So, option (C) is true.

(9)  Solution  :

Given, Number of classmates  =  20

Total money collected  =  $15

Then,

Contribution of each one  =  15/20  ==>  0.75

So, contribution of each person is $0.75.

(10)  Solution  :

We Multiply,

=  7×8×2.7

=  56×2.7

=  151.2

So, 7×8×2.7 is 151.2
