**Question 4 :**

Which has larger area? A right triangle with the length of the sides containing the right angle being 80 cm and 60 cm or a square of length 50 cm.

**Solution:**

Breadth of right triangle = 80 cm

Height of right triangle = 60 cm

Length of each side of square = 50 cm

To find which area is larger we have to find areas of both plots separately.

Area of right angle triangle = (1/2) **x** b **x** h

= (1/2) **x** 80 **x** 60

= 80 **x** 30

= 2400 m²

Area of square field = a ²

= (80)²

= 80** x** 80

= 6400 m²

From this we come to know that area of square field is more than the right triangle field.
