Add.

Problem 1 :

9 + 16

Solution:

9 + 16

Since these are having same signs, so we add them.

= 25

Problem 2 :

-10 + (-10)

Solution:

-10 + (-10)

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -10 - 10

= -20

Problem 3 :

18 + (-26)

Solution:

18 + (-26)

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= 18 - 26

= -8

Problem 4 :

-23 + (-15)

Solution:

-23 + (-15)

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -23 - 15

= -38

Problem 5 :

-45 + 35

Solution:

-45 + 35

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= -10

Problem 6 :

39 + (-38)

Solution:

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= 39 - 38

= 1

Problem 7 :

-55 + 81

Solution:

-55 + 81

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= 26

Problem 8 :

-61 + (-39)

Solution:

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -61 - 39

= -100

Problem 9 :

-74 + 36

Solution:

-74 + 36

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= -38

Problem 10 :

-1 + (-8)

Solution:

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -1 - 8

= -9

Problem 11 :

13 + 15

Solution:

13 + 15

Since these are having same signs, so we add them.

= 28

Problem 12 :

19 + (-7)

Solution:

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= 19 - 7

= 12

Problem 13 :

-14 + (-14)

Solution:

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -14 - 14

= -28

Problem 14 :

-12 + 10

Solution:

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= -2

Problem 15 :

-5 + (-26)

Solution:

-5 + (-26)

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -5 - 26

= -31

Problem 16 :

-46 + 27

Solution:

-46 + 27

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= -19

Problem 17 :

-33 + 55

Solution:

-33 + 55

Since the given two numbers are having different signs, subtract the smaller from larger and use the sign of the larger number to the answer.

= 22

Problem 18 :

-29 + (-25)

Solution:

-29 + (-25)

Since these are having same signs, we add them and put greater number's sign for the answer.

= -29 - 25

= -54
