In this page lcm practical problems question3 we are going to see solution of first problem.

**Question 2:**

On a highway,banyan trees are planted on one side and neem trees on the other side,starting from the same place. Banyan trees are planted at intervals of 32 meter and neem trees a intervals of 40 meter. At what distance from the beginning would a banyan tree and neem tree stand together on either side?

**Solution:**

Banyan trees are planted on one side of the highways. Banyan trees are planted at the interval 32 meter.

Neem trees are planted on one side of the highways. Neem trees are planted at the interval 40 meter. From these details we have to find that where would the banyan tree and neem tree stand together.

32 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

40 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 5

L.C.M = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5

= 160

From this we come to know that after 160 meter both banyan tree and neem tree stand together on both sides of the road.
