In this page perimeter and area solution8 we are going to see solution of some practice questions.

**Question 8 :**

A plot of land is in the form of a quadrilateral, where one of its diagonals is 250 m long. The two vertices on either side of the diagonal are 70 m and 80m away. What is the area of the plot of the land?

**Solution:**

Length of diagonal = 250

Length of perpendiculars h₁ = 70 cm

h₂ = 80 cm

Area of quadrilateral = (1/2) **x** d **x** (h₁+h₂)

= (1/2) **x** (250) **x** (70 + 80)

= (125) **x** (150)

= (125) **x** (150)

= 18750 m²
