**Question 5:**

In a school,the students are arranged in rows for mass drill. If 28,35 or 42 students are kept in a row and no row is kept incomplete,every time 10 students are left over. Find the least number of students assembled for the parade.

**Solution:**

28 = 7 x 2 x 2

35 = 7 x 5

42 = 2 x 3 x 7

L.C.M = 2 x 2 x 5 x 3 x 7

= 420

Here 420 is exactly divisible by 28,35 and 42. Every time 10 students are left over. So we have to add 420 by 10.

So the least number of students assembled for the parade = 430
